Dean Phillips (aka cARacTac™ ²⁰⁰⁴) is a British artist based in London, whose practice oscillates between the cinematic and the tactile. When not working in the film industry, Phillips dedicates his creative focus to intricate hand-drawn works using ink and gel pens on paper, card, and canvas. Since 2002, he has pioneered a distinctive hybrid medium:sculpture on canvas. His process culminates in a digital alchemy, where he photographs these textured pieces and digitally manipulates them, blending the physical and virtual to conjure other worldly imagery that transcends their original form.
